Osaka Castle - A short review ;)

Hi reader of Michael's Blog,

my name is John and I'm todays guest-host of this post in Japan.

After we left Kyoto for Osaka in the morning, we arrived unexpectedly pretty early and so we decided to  pay "Osaka Castle" a visit. The weather in Osaka was unlike in Kyoto very cloudy, cold and it even started to snow. So it was not a very good start in Osaka...

I don't now if you can see it, but it's actually snowing!
 A river surrounding the castle.
A big gate to the area of the castle.

Although the weather was not very friendly for sightseeing, the view from afar was worth it! You can recognize the magnificent architecture from the distance.
But it was still a steeper way up to the castle and after crossing over some moat we finally arrived the castle.

 Still so far away...

 A moat protecting the castle...
 Yeahh... the goal is near!

 Finally there...
One of the highlights of Osaka Castle is the view from the top and luckily how Michael always is, the weather turned from cloudy to sunny.
In the light of the sun, the castle and even Osaka city shined in its' full glory!

As a remembrance, people (mostly kids) can get a stamp of the castle ;)
 The shining castle...
When we left Osaka Castle we briefly visited a shrine that was nearby.
So dear readers that was our first sight in Osaka and every visitor of Osaka we can cordially recommend it, to pay a visit!

What is this? An UFO in the moat???
