Spartacus - Gladiator or Sexgod?!

I know that many of you guys waited for this post, especially Janina!

Today I found the time to tell you something about "Spartacus - Blood and sand"!

I started to watch this TV show a couple of weeks ago. I was totally flashed by this first season of Spartacus.

I was really surprised, that many of my german friends don't know this TV show. Rethinking how many of my german friends are crazy about it like me... I think it is a complete ZERO!

But I was more surprised that many korean friends know and love this show.

So I started to philosophize about the reason.
I think that using pornography in germany is pretty common. Even yesterday I watched a "Fashion-Porn" which was promoted by my friends from iheartberlin... Which was pretty crazy by the way... But I started to google some accessories which were praised in the very unusual commercial with the conclusion that they are way too expensive!
This way of commercial would be utopian in korea. Consuming movies with some naked skin is not the kind of thing you would talk about in society. Maybe that is the reason why shows like Spartacus are so popular.

The show is very sexual and brutal in compare to other shows. There is a lot of blood, dead people, naked flesh and lots of sex. It is kind of tool to talk about sex without talking about sex. You can just talk about Spartacus. Maybe you can compare it to "Sex and the city" for the girls. You can talk about what Carry, Charlotte, Samantha and Miranda talked about without talking about sex.

I know, that this stuff is more visualized in Spartacus, but its 2010's now and not the end of the 90's.

Tonight I will watch the last episode of "Spartacus - Blood and sand" and I am so exited how the first season ends... Maybe with some more fights, tears or just oiled muscles?!
